Help Us Create a Warm, Welcoming Space at 168 Medical Group

168 Medical Group and the Patient Participation Group (PPG) are excited to be working with the Social Prescribing Team from Citizens Advice North Somerset and Alliance Homes to explore a new community initiative: a weekly Friendship Café.

Together, the PPG, 168 Medical Group, and the Social Prescribing Team are excited to build something truly meaningful — a more connected, caring community for all.

We’re in the early stages, but one thing is already clear: volunteers will be at the heart of this project’s success.

We're reaching out to our community of 24,000 patients

We believe that within our practice, there are people with valuable experience, warm hearts, and time to give and we’d love for you to be involved.

Whether you’re someone who:

  • Has experience in leadership, organisation, or event facilitation, and could help shape and guide the café…

  • Or someone who simply enjoys offering friendship, a listening ear, or cheerful company for an hour or two…

We’d love to hear from you.

To express your interest, please email bnssg.168management@nhs.net with the subject line: “Friendship Café” and include:

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • A few lines about your background and how you’d like to help

Together, the PPG, 168 Medical Group, CAB, and the Social Prescribing Team are excited to build something truly meaningful — a more connected, caring community for all.

Let’s make it happen — together.
